This is Jerry Nickel, Great Grandson of
The Sundance Kid...
Jerry and his family drove out to Robbers Roost Ranch for the filming of the documentary of the findings in his new book, "The Real Sundance Kid, My Great Grandfather". West Taylor of Extreme Outlaw Rides supplied all the horses and riders for the shoot.
Many of the Cowboys came in days early and left late to enjoy the beauty of this land. West facilitated daily rides out to The old "Wild Bunch" Outlaw camp of 1897 and "The Spring". This is a picture of "Butch's round pen" as it stands today. We had Horse trainer and clinician Jimmy Smith of Horses Landing out of Wanship, Utah come and do a mini horse clinic in the actual round pen. It was a great trip with amazing food, new friends were made and the spirit of the Outlaws lived on. Some say those Outlaws were there that trip and having fun on the other side of the veil haunting all the horses, many were acting up and sever guys got thrown from their horses, thankfully no one was hurt.
Mike Karr of Seen by Scene, a Motion Picture Production Company out of Utah was there with an onsite crew to do all the filming. We would love to have your support in finishing this documentary, Please check out our Kickstarter project and learn about the TV pilot that is in creation!
